Malik Nabers Gives Knee Injury Update After Missing Practice Before Giants vs. Commanders
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers provided an update regarding the health of his knee heading into a Week 5 matchup with the Washington Commanders.
"Just sore," Nabers said Wednesday, per ESPN's Jordan Raanan. "Just sore.
"We'll see how the next day goes, but through the week, I'm usually sore. But this one was kind of a little bit more sore. I always continue to fight through it."
Nabers didn't participate in New York's practice on Wednesday due to knee issues.
He previously underwent a procedure to repair a torn ACL that he suffered in Week 4 of his 2025 campaign. Nabers also had surgery to clean up scar tissue around his knee that was causing stiffness in April.
He was limited in practice to open training camp as he worked his way back onto the field. Nabers was also listed as questionable heading into Week 1 due to his knee.
Still, he's been able to suit up in all four of New York's regular-season contests this year.
In his four appearances, he's hauled in 18 receptions for 208 yards and one touchdown. Nabers is coming off a six-catch, 112-yard performance against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4.
He's helped the Giants open the year with a 3-1 record despite losing quarterback Jaxson Dart to a season-ending knee injury.
Nabers' activity in practice is something to monitor as New York prepares to face a Washington secondary that has struggled this season, ranking No. 25 among all teams by allowing 242.5 yards per game through the air.
Kickoff between the Giants and Commanders is on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
