Week 5 Fantasy Football Cheat Sheet for Best Values and Top Sleepers
We're only a month into the 2026 NFL season, but the fantasy landscape already looks a lot different than it did ahead of Week 1. Major injuries have impacted every single position through the first four weeks, leading managers to the waiver wire early and often.
Now, byes are coming into play, as the Carolina Panthers and Kansas City Chiefs will be off in Week 5. Fortunately, a few sleepers stand to provide value this week because of their projected roles or individual matchups.
Here, you'll find updated rankings for Week 5, a cheat sheet of value targets, and a look at some top options who may still be available on the waiver wire. All rankings and picks are based on point-per-reception (PPR) scoring.

Sleeper: Tyler Allgeier, RB, Arizona Cardinals

Injuries have made it increasingly difficult to find viable options at running back this season. Now, Arizona Cardinals star rookie Jeremiyah Love is dealing with an ailment of his own.
Love was dealing with an ankle injury heading into the regular season. After Sunday's loss to the New York Giants, head coach Mike LaFleur told reporters that Love tweaked his other ankle during the game.
This only adds to the value of Arizona's RB2, Tyler Allgeier, heading into Week 5, though he had a good amount of sleeper value anyway. Allgeier found the end zone in Week 4, yielded 12.9 fantasy points, and faces an underwhelming Detroit Lions defense in Week 5.
The Lions have surrendered the 14th-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. Allgeier is still available in more than half of fantasy leagues.
Sleeper: Tre' Harris, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers are still trying to find their offensive identity under new coordinator Mike McDaniel. However, second-year receiver Tre' Harris appears to be on the cusp of being a viable flex streamer, especially in deeper leagues.
Harris has seen at least five targets in three of his four outings this season, and he's reached nine fantasy points in back-to-back games. He also faces a Week 5 matchup that isn't as daunting as it might appear at first glance.
The Denver Broncos had one of the league's top defenses a year ago, but it has largely been average this season. And while the Broncos have still surrendered the 11th-fewest fantasy points to opposing WRs, they also lost cornerbacks Pat Surtain II and Riley Moss to injuries in Week 4.
Moss may try playing through his rib injury on Sunday, but Surtain is considered week-to-week with his ankle injury, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Harris is available in roughly 90 percent of fantasy leagues.
