 Just because you’ve slipped behind in the Stolen Base category doesn’t mean you can’t catch up.  Here are some reasonably available SB threats.

Brendan Ryan, 2B/SS, St. Louis Cardinals—Ryan swiped four bases last week while hitting .300 (6 for 20) with 1 Run and 1 RBI. On the year he’s hitting .289 with 14 SBs, 46 Runs, 2 HRs, and 31 RBIs.  He’s owned in 9% of Yahoo! Plus, 3% of Yahoo! Public, 1.6% of ESPN, and 6% of CBS leagues.

Kazuo Matsui, 2B, Houston Astros—Matsui also swiped four bases last week while hitting .360 (9 for 25) with 6 Runs and 2 RBIs. On the year he’s hitting .249 with 18 SBs, 47 Runs, 5 HRs, and 38 RBIs.  He’s owned in 16% of Yahoo! Plus, 22% of Yahoo! Public, 14.4% of ESPN, and 17% of CBS leagues.

Eric Young, 2B, Colorado Rockies—Young had three SBs last week while hitting .412 (7 for 17) with 4 Runs, 1 HR, and 1 RBI. On the year he’s hitting .325 with 3 SBs, 6 Runs, 1 HR, and 1 RBI in 40 ABs.  He’s owned in 6% of Yahoo! Plus, 1% of Yahoo! Public, 0.6% of ESPN, and 7% of CBS leagues.

Julio Borbon, OF, Texas Rangers—Borbon had two SBs last week while hitting .360 (9 for 25) with 6 Runs, 3 HRs, and 6 RBIs. On the year he’s hitting .330 with 14 SBs, 19 Runs, 4 HRs, and 14 RBIs in 91 ABs.  He’s owned in 42% of Yahoo! Plus, 15% of Yahoo! Public, 8% of ESPN, and 27% of CBS leagues.

Drew Stubbs, OF, Cincinnati Reds—Stubbs had two SBs last week while hitting .185 (5 for 26) with 3 Runs and 2 RBIs. On the year he’s hitting .246 with 5 SBs, 15 Runs, 4 HRs, and 10 RBIs in 114 ABs.  He’s owned in 14% of Yahoo! Plus, 4% of Yahoo! Public, 3% of ESPN, and 14% of CBS leagues.
