A'ja Wilson took home some more hardware on Thursday.
The Las Vegas Aces star has won the 2026 WNBA MVP award, becoming the first player in league history to win three straight MVPs.
This is also the fifth time Wilson has won the award, which is the most all-time.

Wilson was the overwhelming favorite for much of the season. She led the WNBA in points (26.2) and blocks (1.9) while placing fifth in rebounds.
Here's a look at the full voting results:
The Aces also finished third in the league standings and only two games back of the No. 1-seeded Lynx. According to WNBA.com, Las Vegas had a plus-13.6 net rating with Wilson on the court and a minus-11.1 net rating when she went to the bench.
The phrase "most valuable" leaves enough room for interpretation to where the best player in a given league isn't always the MVP. With Wilson, both labels still apply.
In a different year, Lynx star Olivia Miles might've made history as the first rookie since Candace Parker in 2008 to win MVP. Instead, she finished runner-up in voting alongside Indiana Fever guards Kelsey Mitchell and Caitlin Clark and New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart.
The Lynx playmaker averaged 19.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 40 games. More than the raw numbers, Miles showed a lot of leadership with Napheesa Collier missing the first half.
Most assumed the team would be fortunate just to make the playoffs. In addition to Collier's recovery from offseason ankle surgeries, the Lynx lost Alanna Smith, Jessica Shepard and Natisha Hiedeman in free agency.
Instead, Minnesota finished only one game worse than 2025, and a lot of that is owed to Miles' contributions at both ends of the floor.
While the Lynx have already been eliminated from the WNBA Playoffs, Wilson and the Aces are still fighting for a spot in the finals. However, Las Vegas trails the Golden State Valkyries 2-0 in the semifinals and will need to win Game 3 on Friday in order to stay alive in its pursuit of another title.
