Gervon Dexter, Falcons Agree to Contract Extension After Trade from Bears, Details Revealed

The Atlanta Falcons agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $78 million with defensive tackle Gervon Dexter on Wednesday, agents Drew and Jason Rosenhaus told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The deal includes $46.5 million guaranteed, per Schefter.

Dexter is in the midst of his first season with the Falcons after they acquired him from the Chicago Bears in exchange for cornerback Clark Phillips III and a fifth-round draft pick on Aug. 30.
