Odell Beckham Jr. Agrees to Vikings Contract After Giants Release, Full Details Announced
Following his release from the New York Giants, Odell Beckham Jr. has found a new home with the Minnesota Vikings, the team announced on Wednesday.
Beckham will initially join Minnesota's practice squad while Justin Jefferson continues to nurse an ankle injury.
Jordan Schultz first reported the news.
Beckham signed with the Giants in June, setting up a reunion between him and the team he spent his best years with. He made the 53-man roster ahead of the season, but it quickly became apparent that he wasn't going to be a big part of the offensive game plan.
Beckham played just a handful of snaps and had just one target through the Giants' first few games, and the team ultimately released him on Sept. 29. The decision to part ways reportedly was mutual as Beckham eyed a bigger role elsewhere.
At 33 years old, Beckham isn't the All-Pro caliber player he once was, but he has the potential to make an impact with his new squad.
Beckham didn't play during the 2025 season and got limited reps with the Miami Dolphins in 2024, but he hauled in 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023, and he'll look to have that kind of production with Minnesota.
The Vikings are 4-0 and have a matchup with the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
