Breece Hall Injured, Latest Rumors on Jets RB's Timeline to Return & Braelon Allen Fantasy Outlook

New York Jets running back Breece Hall is considered week-to-week after exiting Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Detroit Lions with a quad injury, according to ESPN's Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter.

That leaves Braelon Allen atop the depth chart at the position, with Isaiah Davis also available.

Hall, 25, suffered the injury after being tackled and twisted out of bounds, near the end zone, during the fourth quarter. He appeared to land hard on his right leg. He had rushed 13 times for 32 yards and caught three passes for 23 yards before the injury.

He has been clearly atop the pecking order in New York's backfield this season and was putting up low-end RB1 numbers. That makes his loss a big one for both the Jets and fantasy players who drafted him.

It opens the door for Allen from a fantasy perspective, however, making him a must-add player on waivers this week. Coming into Sunday he had rushed for 457 yards and four touchdowns in 23 career games across parts of three seasons in what has primarily been a complementary role to Hall.

Allen is rostered in just 18 percent of Yahoo leagues, so he likely will be available. Anyone who has him on the roster will have to prioritize him on waivers, but if you are low on options at running back or flex, he's a fantastic target.

Granted, much will depend on how long Hall is sidelined for. If Hall is looking at any sort of extended stint on the sidelines, Allen is going to be the most popular addition in fantasy football this week. Consider him a very solid flex option if he's forced into starting duty.
