Presidents Cup 2026 Leaderboard, Friday Scores, Top Pairings and Twitter Reaction

The United States team ran into some trouble during the second day of the 2026 Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club in Illinois.

After the U.S. squad held a 3-2 lead over the International team following Thursday's four-ball play, the Internationals dominated Friday's foursome matches to take a 7-3 advantage.

Scheffler and Burns held an early lead over Conners and Taylor in the opening match of the day, but the International duo eventually jumped in front with a birdie on hole No. 6.

While the U.S. team later tied the match, Conners and Taylor took another lead on No. 12. Burns eventually missed a birdie putt on No. 18 for the tie, giving the International team a full point.

Matsuyama and Im also fell into an early deficit against Henley and Bridgeman, but moved in front by carding three birdies across four holes from No. 3 through No. 6.

The Americans were unable to recover, as the International team easily took the second match.

The third match of the day was a hard-fought contest, as both duos were tied through five holes.

Fox and Lee eventually took the first lead with a birdie on No. 6, but Clark and Morikawa finally grabbed a lead of their own on No. 12.

Clutch putting from Fox and Lee put the Internationals back in front and gave them a full point, though.

Thomas and Young struggled to start their foursome match against Scott and Bezuidenhout, picking up a bogey on the first hole.

As for the International duo, they ended the match with five birdies compared to just one for the U.S. pair. Scott played his 56th Presidents Cup match, setting a new record.

Tom Kim and Si Woo Kim ended the day with a dominant showing against Cantlay and Schauffele, as they never trailed at any point during the match before it ended after hole No. 15.

The International team is attempting to win the Presidents Cup for the first time since 1998.

Saturday will feature both foursome matches and four-ball play.
