Tucker Kraft Calls Out Packers Fans for Booing During Loss to Falcons, 'Not Going to Help Us Win'

Frustration is already mounting for the Green Bay Packers and their fans, who showered the team with boos for their performance during Thursday's 35-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons at Lambeau Field.

Packers tight end Tucker Kraft criticized the home crowd for their response after the game, telling reporters that reaction is "not going to help us win" as they look for solutions amid a 1-2 start to the season:

"That's pretty tough. Like everyone pictures Lambeau Field and not boos. I don't picture boos. I picture my home stadium. That's tough. It's pretty disappointing, especially for a home opener. It's pretty disappointing. It's not going to help us win. Like I don't know what people think that's going to rally us or something like that. But that's — we're grown men. We're mentally strong enough, capable enough to get back on the field and play ball. But it'd probably much easier with the 70,000 people behind us rather than opposing us."

It's hard to know what else Packers fans were supposed to do during the game. Their team did start well with Christian Watson catching a four-yard touchdown pass late in the first quarter to give Green Bay a 7-0 lead.

Unfortunately, that was the Packers' peak. The Falcons scored 27 unanswered points to take a 27-7 lead early in the fourth quarter.

The 35 points for Atlanta on Thursday night more than doubled its total from the first two games combined (16). The Falcons had five red-zone trips against Green Bay, scoring touchdowns on four of them. They did not get into the red zone the first two weeks of the season.

Bijan Robinson ran all over the Packers defense with 194 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries. He had two runs of at least 30 yards, while the entire Packers team had a total of 17 rushing yards on nine carries.

This was the first time the Packers have lost a home opener since the 2012 season. The 21-point margin of defeat was the worst home loss of Matt LaFleur's tenure as head coach.

When you start adding all of that up, the Packers are not playing functional football. It's not a surprise watching the product on the field that fans would get restless and make their thoughts known.

The Packers will look to right the ship next week when they travel to Raymond James Stadium to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
