Browns' Shedeur Sanders Gives Away 500 Backpacks With School Supplies to Youth Students on Video

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders gave away 500 backpacks filled with school supplies to students at W. H. Kirk Middle School and Caledonia Elementary on Tuesday, per Camryn Justice of News 5 Cleveland.

The children were also treated to food from Pizza Hut and Pammy's Ice Cream as part of the event, via Justice.

Sanders explained why he decided to pick the two schools for the giveaway.

"I chose two schools in East Cleveland because I like going to different places a lot of people wouldn't go and showing a positive side of things because if you just look online, you only see the negativity about parts of East Cleveland and different parts of Cleveland," Sanders said (0:55 mark).

The 24-year-old is in the midst of his second season in Cleveland, operating as the team's backup quarterback behind Deshaun Watson.

Sanders previously appeared in eight games as a rookie, completing 56.6 percent of his passes for 1,400 yards and seven touchdowns to go along with 10 interceptions during his 2025 campaign.

The Browns own a 1-1 record this year and are coming off a 23-19 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
