Watch Adam Vinatieri Set Guinness World Record With Kick in Swiss Alps in New Patriots Video

Former NFL legend Adam Vinatieri is now a Guinness World Record holder.

The longtime kicker made a field goal on the Jungfraujoch—a mountain attraction nicknamed the "Top of Europe"—which sits at 11,332 feet above sea level in the Swiss Alps.

"I've had the chance to attempt a lot of special kicks in my career, but getting to go for an official Guinness World Records title on snow at 3,454 meters in a Patriots jersey is truly something special," Vinatieri said. "The conditions up there in the Alps are completely different from anything we know from the NFL. That's exactly what makes this challenge so exciting."

Vinatieri's most famous kicks also came in snow back in the controversial "Tuck Rule Game" during the Divisional Round of the 2001 season, when his 45-yard field goal in blizzard-like conditions forced overtime against the Oakland Raiders and his 23-yarder in overtime sealed the victory.

The Patriots went on to win Super Bowl XXXVI, their first of six in the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick era, and Vinatieri had the signature moment of his Hall of Fame career.
