Jaylen Waddle Calls Bo Nix 'A God' and 'A Dog' After Broncos' Win vs. Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars

After Sunday's 20-13 comeback victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, new Denver Broncos wide receiver Jaylen Waddle gained even more respect for his quarterback.

Waddle, who spent the first five years of his career with the Miami Dolphins before being traded to the Broncos in March, had high praise for star signal-caller Bo Nix and offensive coordinator Davis Webb.

"Honestly, I just think we regrouped, started believing in the plays that D-Webb was calling and everyone just bought in," Waddle told Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer. He added about Nix, "He's just a dog, man. He's a god. He's not afraid of the moment."

The Broncos entered the fourth quarter trailing the Jags 13-6, but Nix quickly tied things up with a touchdown pass to Nate Adkins. He helped set up Jonah Coleman's game-winning touchdown run by drawing a defensive pass interference penalty on Jacksonville second-year cornerback Travis Hunter.

Nix threw for 288 yards, a touchdown and an interception, and Waddle finished with game highs of eight catches and 138 yards in the victory. As the duo's chemistry continues to develop, Denver will have a strong chance to repeat as AFC West champion.

The Broncos will be back in action against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football in Week 3.
