Deshaun Watson Reacts to Browns Win, Monken's 'F--k That' Quote in Video amid Shedeur Sanders Rumors

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson said he's "right where I'm supposed to be" following Sunday's 23-19 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"Leave the journey in God's hands, keep working hard, keep pushing forward and let the outcome be the outcome when it comes," he told reporters.

The three-time Pro Bowler went 24-of-30 for 238 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. In what was reportedly an important week for sorting out the quarterback room, Watson made a strong case for himself with Shedeur Sanders waiting in the wings.

Overcoming a 10-point deficit in the second half and knocking off the Bucs on the road raised the collective spirits inside the locker room. Coach Todd Monken referenced the general narrative around the organization and said his players were motivated to silence the skeptics.

"'Browns are gonna Browns.' F--k that," Monken said after the win. "The guys took that to heart."

Watson's account differed a bit, but he agreed with the overall sentiment.

"I wouldn't say it was a topic of conversation," he said (2:01 mark). "I just think that Monk said what he said. That's how we all feel."

Nothing gets a disgruntled fanbase back on board like winning games. The positivity in Cleveland could be fleeting, though.

One win is unlikely to have canceled out all of the frustration and angst toward Watson. Should his performance go backward in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers, the critics will be back out in full force, and people will wonder once again whether it's time to hand the keys to the offense over to Sanders.
