Raiders Beat Chargers, Box Score Stats, Highlights for Kirk Cousins, Herbert, Top Players

The Las Vegas Raiders are 2-0. Yes, this is real life.

Kirk Cousins and the Raiders upset the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, 26-14, marking the first time the team has opened the season with a pair of wins since 2021.

And they've done it without superstar tight end Brock Bowers. Here's a look at the top performers from the contest:

The result could have been far worse for the Chargers. The team fumbled a whopping six times during the game but somehow only lost one. It was a crucial one to lose, however, coming late in the fourth quarter to set up a massive touchdown for the Raiders.

The Chargers even gave away two points after a holding call in the end zone caused a safety, the fourth penalty against tackle Joe Alt. It was just one of those days for the Chargers.

While the Raiders are celebrating, the Chargers are now reeling after a very surprising 0-2 start to the 2026 season. It's the first time Jim Harbaugh has ever started a season winless after two games in his collegiate and professional coaching career.

There was plenty of excitement about this team coming into the season—especially on the offensive side of the ball, with Mike McDaniel hired to lead the offense—but Justin Herbert and the Chargers are floundering. Major questions will need to be answered in Los Angeles.

But in Vegas it's been a party. Tougher days are ahead, no doubt, but these Raiders have hit the ground running in the Klint Kubiak era.
