Watch Cowboys' Dak Prescott Break Tony Romo TD Record on Video vs. Commanders

Dak Prescott made Dallas Cowboys history on Sunday.

Prescott threw his 249th touchdown pass on Sunday in a matchup against the Washington Commanders, which moved him ahead of franchise legend Tony Romo for the most in Cowboys history.

That came one quarter after he had tied Romo.

Prescott has already established himself as a franchise legend, having broken a number of records, including the career passing yards record for the Cowboys. When it's all said and done, he'll be remembered as one of the greats to play in Dallas.

But the biggest thing missing from his resume is a Super Bowl victory. To put himself alongside players like Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman, he'll need to lead Dallas to glory.

While Prescott has had a tremendous individual career, his lack of success in the postseason has always been a stain on his resume. He's reached the playoffs five times, but has yet to make it beyond the divisional round.

Prescott and the Cowboys came into the season confident in making a Super Bowl run, but a Week 1 loss to the New York Giants perhaps humbled them some. There's plenty of season left, though, so Dallas could very well look like a different team by the end of the year.
