Drake London Says Fan Got 'Personal' During Verbal Confrontation in Falcons' 34-3 Loss to Panthers

Drake London went back and forth with a fan during the Atlanta Falcons' 34-3 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, and the wide receiver said after the game that the fan made things "personal."

"I'm going to be honest here, I don't take light to disrespect at all," London told reporters. "I don't care who you are. I'm a man, too, at the end of the day. So, if you want to get on a personal level, I can get there, too, but it's not the right thing to do. So, I got to take accountability for that, and I got to push forward and be the bigger man in some of those situations."

During the third quarter of the frustrating loss to a divisional rival, London was seen shouting profanities at a fan inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium as his teammate, Olamide Zaccheaus, held him back.

London admitted that responding to the fan was "not the right thing to do."

London had a frustrating start to the season when he recorded just two receptions for 29 yards in Week 1, and it didn't get much better in Week 2. He finished Sunday's game with four receptions for 51 yards.

"I think we as playmakers—us in the backfield, us on the outside, on the wing—we got to go out there and make plays regardless," London said. "We're all in the league for a reason, right? We're all good football players. I don't care if you're fourth string or you're the starter."

The fan London got into it with wasn't the only one who was frustrated with the Falcons' performance. Despite it being a home game, fans in the stadium started booing as things got out of hand.

"To me, it just gives me more juice to go out there and prove everybody wrong," London told reporters. "If we have everybody against us, then all you can do is push forward if your back's against the wall."

The Falcons are still awaiting the return of quarterbacks Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa. Cooper Rush started for Atlanta and threw for 86 yards and two interceptions, and he was replaced by Jack Strand, who threw for 59 yards and an interception.

Atlanta has had a frustrating start to the season, and those frustrations clearly boiled over on Sunday.
