Michael Pittman Jr. Injured, Top Fantasy Waiver-Wire Targets with Steelers WR Out vs. Patriots

Michael Pittman Jr. is out for Week 2 after leading the Pittsburgh Steelers in receiving yards last weekend.

Pittman was downgraded to out with a foot injury on the Steelers' Saturday injury report, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Here are some top waiver wire targets to consider targeting in Pittman's absence, courtesy of Fantasy Pros.

The injury update comes after Pittman tallied three catches for 58 yards last Sunday in the Steelers' season-opening win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Pittman previously missed two weeks during training camp with a hamstring injury. He first appeared on the Steelers' injury report with the foot injury Wednesday.

He did not practice Thursday or Friday before being ruled out the day before the Steelers' upcoming road game against the New England Patriots.

One Steelers player who could see a bump in usage in Pittman's absence is Roman Wilson, who ranked second to D.K. Metcalf for the team lead with six targets in Week 1.

Samuel could be a strong pick coming off his six catches, including a touchdown, in a season-opening win over the Los Angeles Rams. He and the 49ers are preparing to face a Dolphins team that struggled to limit the Las Vegas Raiders' pass game in Week 1.

On the Dolphins' side, Douglas is another option to consider after making five catches for 95 yards against the Raiders.

Vele made seven catches for 69 yards and a touchdown in a Week 1 loss to the Detroit Lions, although his production this weekend could depend on Tyler Shough's ability to take on a Baltimore Ravens defense that effectively shut down Daniel Jones when opening the season with a win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Wicks will be a waiver wire option to target as rookie wide receiver Makai Lemon works on taking steps toward a bigger role in the Eagles offense.

Lemon recorded negative receiving yards in his debut, which could be an indication Wicks is set to continuing seeing more usage as the clear No. 2 behind DeVonta Smith.

That could start with another high target share for Wicks when the Eagles take on the Tennessee Titans, who allowed Geno Smtih and the New York Jets to rack up 215 passing yards in Week 1.
