Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Fernando Mendoza starred in a comedic State Farm commercial as he begins his rookie season.

In the new commercial, Mendoza worries about Las Vegas being a negative influence on him while speaking to Jake from State Farm. The signal-caller then completes a series of activities including eating a cookie after brushing his teeth and saying "Go fish" while playing blackjack.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft is known for his wholesome demeanor and previously explained why he didn't experience the Las Vegas Strip after joining the Raiders.

"I've been there once or twice, but I haven't really experienced the Strip," Mendoza told Michael Silver of The Athletic during training camp. "It's like a boogeyman. A lot of people talk about the Strip like, 'You don't want to go there.'

"It's like when you're a kid; you're trick-or-treating, and there's the haunted house. You're not trying to go over there."

After a 2025 season at Indiana in which Mendoza earned Heisman Trophy honors and won a national championship, he's started his 2026 campaign as Las Vegas' No. 2 quarterback behind veteran Kirk Cousins.

The Raiders opened the year with a 1-0 record following a season-opening 27-13 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
