'F--king Move the Ball,' Packers Center Talks Game Plan vs. Jets, Need to 'Protect' Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers center Sean Rhyan has quite the game plan for Sunday's game against the New York Jets.

"F--king protect J-Love and f--king move the ball," he told reporters when asked about the team's plans. "Keep it simple, keep it easy."

Protecting Jordan Love was a significant problem in Green Bay's Week 1 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings sacked him four times and tallied six quarterback hits while relentlessly blitzing throughout the game. Love still managed to throw for 387 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw an interception and fumbled twice, losing one of them.

Minnesota's defense eventually overwhelmed the Packers offensive line and Love in the process, as the visitors managed just three points after halftime.

That opened the door for the Vikings to overcome a 22-10 deficit on the way to a commanding 39-22 victory. Even with Kyler Murray sidelined, quarterback Carson Wentz made enough plays on the other end while the defense seized momentum with its pressure on Love.

While no longer having to face defensive coordinator Brian Flores and his tendency to blitz figures to be a break for Rhyan and the rest of the Green Bay offensive line, the Jets impressed on the defensive side during their 23-10 season-opening win over the Tennessee Titans.

New York sacked Cam Ward three times and finished with five quarterback hits. The Titans didn't find the end zone until the fourth quarter, and even that touchdown came in garbage time while they were trailing by 20 points.

A Packers offensive line that failed to give Love enough time to throw throughout the second half of their first loss will have to be much better against the Jets. If they aren't, Green Bay could be staring at an 0-2 record to start the season.
