The Los Angeles Dodgers jersey Shohei Ohtani wore for the first game of the 2025 MLB season in Tokyo is up for auction.

Per the listing on TheRealest.com, the jersey is described as the "most important" one from Ohtani's career with features that include his autograph written in Kanji and the first-ever gold MLB Logoman patch used in a regular-season game.

MLB adopted the gold Logoman patch prior to the start of the 2025 season to recognize the six players who won individual awards the previous year.

Ohtani (NL MVP), Aaron Judge (AL MVP), Chris Sale (NL Cy Young), Tarik Skubal (AL Cy Young), Paul Skenes (NL Rookie of the Year) and Luis Gil (AL Rookie of the Year) wore the special patch.

Since the Dodgers opened the season in Tokyo with two games against the Chicago Cubs, Ohtani became the first player to wear a jersey with the custom patch on the back. It was also his first official MLB game played in his home country.

The Ohtani patch was later used for a Topps Gold Logoman dual autograph card that sold for $11 million in July.

Per MLB.com, the Tokyo Series between the Dodgers and Cubs was the "largest standalone international event" in MLB history with records for viewership, merchandise sales and attendance.

MLB.com's announcement noted the first game between the two clubs was the most-watched MLB game ever in Japan with an audience of more than 25 milion viewers across all platforms.

Ohtani went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in the Dodgers' 4-1 win in that game.
