Grammy Winner Burna Boy to Perform Halftime Show for NFL's 1st Regular-Season Game in Paris

Grammy Award-winning international megastar Burna Boy will headline the halftime show at the NFL's first regular-season game in Paris on Oct. 25 between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints.

"Paris gave me one of the biggest nights of my career, and to walk back into Stade de France for a moment like this means everything," Burna Boy told Jonathan Landrum Jr. of The Associated Press in a statement. "The NFL is bringing something to France that has never happened here before, and I get to stand in the middle of it representing African music and I intend to give the people a show they will not forget."

Burna Boy became the first African artist to headline Stade de France last year, so next month's performance will mark his return to a special place for another historic moment.

The NFL is playing a record nine international games across seven countries this year. The Jonas Brothers performed at last week's Melbourne Game between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams. Burna Boy joins a list of upcoming halftime performers that also includes Ricky Martin and Pedro Sampaio in Rio de Janeiro on Sept. 27, Ayra Starr in London on Oct. 11, Cage the Elephant in Munich on Nov. 15 and Mexican rock trio The Warning in Mexico City on Nov. 22.
