Aaron Rodgers Says 'I Don't Give a S--t' About Steelers WRs Target Totals After Win vs. Falcons

Aaron Rodgers isn't spending too much time worrying about the amount of targets his Pittsburgh Steelers teammates receive during games.

When asked about wide receiver Roman Wilson ranking No. 2 on the Steelers with six targets in a Week 1 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, Rodgers told reporters that "I don't give a s--t about the target list."

"The ball goes to the open guy … nobody in the locker room talks about their targets," Rodgers explained. "That's for you guys to talk about."

The Steelers added to their receiving corps around D.K. Metcalf during the offseason, acquiring Michael Pittman Jr. in a March trade with the Indianapolis Colts before handing him a three-year extension worth $59 million.

Pittsburgh also selected receiver Germie Bernard out of Alabama with a second-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft.

Pittman was targeted three times in Week 1, catching three passes for 58 yards.

As for Bernard, he played just three offensive snaps and did not receive a target (via Pro Football Reference).

Rodgers targeted tight ends or running backs on 18 out of his 37 pass attempts, although it's worth noting that Metcalf was targeted a team-high 10 times. He reeled in four catches for 40 yards.

While the Steelers picked up a 20-13 win over the Falcons, their offense struggled during the contest. Pittsburgh averaged just 4.1 yards per play, converting a mere three of 13 opportunities on third down.

The Steelers also failed to convert their two fourth-down chances.

Even if Rodgers isn't concerned about the total targets of Pittsburgh's receivers, the team will look to take a step forward offensively during a Week 2 matchup with the New England Patriots.
