Jordan Mason Injury Update, Latest on Vikings RB's Status and Fantasy Implications Before NFL Week 2

The Minnesota Vikings placed running back Jordan Mason on injured reserve due to a thumb injury, the team announced Wednesday.

The Vikings also signed running back DeeJay Dallas to their active roster while adding running back Jerome Ford to their practice squad.

As for Mason, he'll now miss a minimum of four games before he'll be eligible to return.

From a fantasy football perspective, Aaron Jones is expected to receive the bulk of the available opportunities in Minnesota's backfield until Mason comes back.
