Updated 2027 NFL Draft Order After Week 1 Results, Who Are Top Prospects?

It's way too early for NFL fans to give up on their teams in the 2026 regular season.

However, the fans of franchises that are expected to have bad seasons can at least start dreaming of which prospects are available at the top of the 2027 NFL draft.

Texas quarterback Arch Manning distinguished himself among the loaded quarterback class on Saturday night with a come-from-behind win over Ohio State.

Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State's star wide out, also shined in the contest. He's long been considered a top prospect in the draft class and he could be No. 1 on the draft boards of teams with no quarterback needs.

Arch Manning improved his NFL draft stock immensely with the come-from-behind win that he engineered for Texas on Saturday night.

Manning erased Ohio State's three-touchdown advantage. The win vaulted Texas to the top of the AP Top 25.

Manning is one of many intriguing quarterback prospects in the 2027 draft class, and while the rankings may change over time, he certainly stood out in Week 2 of the college football season.

The Texas quarterback will be battle-tested by the time he enters the draft process. Texas has six ranked opponents on its SEC schedule, including Ole Miss, LSU and Texas A&M.

Jeremiah Smith was on the losing end of Texas' comeback, but he stood out on many plays in the first half when Ohio State built its lead.

Smith caught eight balls for 154 yards and a score in his first true road game of the season.

Smith, who is arguably the No. 1 prospect in the entire 2027 draft class, started his season off with 315 receiving yards on 16 receptions and three touchdowns.

The junior wide out is on track for his third straight 1,000-yard receiving season.

He will be in consideration for the No. 1 overall pick in April. The teams that don't need a quarterback will target him for sure.

But with so many quarterbacks in the draft class, it might be hard for Smith to be No. 1. At minimum, he should be a top-five selection.
