Packers' Updated NFL Salary Cap After Tucker Kraft's $75M Contract Extension

Tucker Kraft is going to be with the Green Bay Packers for a good, long while.

The team reportedly agreed to a four-year, $75 million extension with incentives that can push the total value up to $92 million, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Schefter also noted the contract includes a $26.5 million signing bonus.

Per Spotrac, the Packers were sitting at $17.2 million in available cap space going into this season before Kraft's extension.

The deal keeps Kraft under contract to the Packers through the 2030 season.

Kraft, 25, had a breakout season during his sophomore campaign in 2024, catching 50 passes for 707 yards and seven touchdowns. He appeared well on the way to smashing those numbers last season, catching 32 passes for 489 yards and six scores through eight games, though an ACL tear cut his season short and left the Packers without one of their most reliable weapons.

Kraft was ready to start the 2026 season, however.

"[The doctor] told me my knee looks spectacular, almost like he had never seen rehabilitation like mine," he told reporters on July 31. "So the fact that we're getting those results, the data will speak for itself and my comeback is ever-ascending day by day."

The bigger question was whether he would playing in 2026 without an extension, giving that he would otherwise hit unrestricted free agency at the end of the season. It always seemed unlikely the Packers would let him walk, but the question was whether his extension would come now or the team might face a franchise-tag situation in the spring.

But now we have our answer.

Kraft, who is not listed on the official injury report, will make his return to the field for the Packers on Sunday when they take on the Minnesota Vikings.
