Worcester Sharks To Start Training Camp Sept. 22

Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr announced the training camp schedule for the team in preparation for the fourth season of hockey in Worcester.

The Sharks will begin training camp at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro on Tuesday, Sept. 22. 

The Sharks will play three preseason games during their nine-day camp beginning with a matchup against the Hartford Wolf Pack at 7 p.m. on Sept. 23 at Trinity College.

Next, the Sharks will travel to Springfield for a tilt against the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 25 at the Mass Mutual Center.

The team will round out the preseason schedule at 3 p.m. on Sept. 27 at the International Skating Center in Simsbury, CT with another battle against the Wolf Pack.

Worcester’s training camp, in preparation for the season opener on Oct. 2 at Adirondack against the Phantoms, will conclude on Sept. 30.

In addition, Sharks individual tickets for the 2009-10 season will go on sale Tuesday  at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Sharks' front office, by visiting the DCU Center Box Office, or through Ticketmaster.

Entering their fourth season in Worcester, the Sharks look forward to another exciting season highlighted by the improvements of the ice surface at the DCU Center and the reduction of season-ticket prices.

Sharks fans may secure their 2009-10 season tickets by placing a $50 deposit per seat. Some of the benefits of holding season tickets include:

  • Significant savings off box office ticket prices
  • Priority access to purchase tickets to DCU Center events (subject to availability)
