Bills Reveal Throwback Red End Zones in New Photos for Highmark Stadium Opener
Mike Chiari
The Buffalo Bills will give a nod to the past when they face the Detroit Lions in their 2026 regular-season opener on Sept. 17.
On Friday, the Bills' official X account posted a photo of red end zones, which will be used for the home opener and the first-ever regular-season game at the new Highmark Stadium:
The red end zones were chosen via a fan vote posed by Bills president Pete Guelli this week:
During the 1990s, the Bills primarily used red end zones at what was then known as Rich Stadium. Behind the red end zone aesthetic, Buffalo reached four consecutive Super Bowls from 1990 to 1993.
