Travis Kelce Discusses 'Magical' Taylor Swift Wedding, 'So Thankful for Everybody'
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce discussed his recent wedding with pop star Taylor Swift on the latest edition of the New Heights podcast, which dropped Wednesday.
During a conversation with his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, Travis showed his appreciation for the guests and everyone who made it a special night for him and Taylor (beginning at the 11:37 mark of the podcast).
"Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up, from the vows to just seeing everyone, to how much fun we had, throughout the entire evening and hearing that, kind of be relayed through everybody's stories of the night," Kelce said. "And it was just so magical, man."
Kelce went on to note that he wished the wedding "could have lasted even longer than it did," because of the enjoyable time that was had by all.
The wedding took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3, and Kelce explained that he and Swift chose the unique venue because they wanted to get married "somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions."
Kelce expressed his gratitude to MSG for delivering on what they wanted, and he also gave a "special thank you" to actor Adam Sandler, who officiated the wedding.
Now, Kelce is deep in preparations for the start of his 14th NFL season, all of which have been spent in Kansas City.
An 11-time Pro Bowler, four-time First Team All-Pro and three-time Super Bowl champion, Kelce is already widely regarded as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history and a future Pro Football Hall of Famer.
There were plenty of rumors and speculation that he would retire after the 2025 season, but he is back for at least one more campaign, as he looks to help the Chiefs get back to the playoffs after falling short last season.
