NHL 27 Drops Gameplay and Presentation Deep Dive Video Detailing Video Game's New Features

EA Sports released a new deep-dive video showcasing NHL 27's gameplay and presentation on Tuesday.

Instead of three global shared strategies, there are 32 team-specific playbooks in the video game.

Players can also see how playbooks influence the game with a whiteboard-style visualizer that displays team positioning by zone and situation.

Meanwhile, the commentary team for the game will now include ESPN's John Buccigross and CHSN's Darren Pang.

As for the visual presentation, there has been a "complete overhaul" of the graphics package to match the style of "modern" broadcasts (2:56 mark). Goal animations and intro transitions to better reflect game situations have also been added.

Updated team-authentic goal songs are a feature of the upcoming game as well.

NHL 27 is set to drop on Sept. 11, although players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will have access to the game on Sept. 4.
