Manchester United Transfer News: Latest on Pedro and David De Gea Rumours
Pedro may be reconsidering his proposed move to Manchester Unitedโbecause of manager Louis van Gaal.
According to Jamie Jackson of the Guardian,ย Pedro's transfer "has stalled as he considers the managerial style of Louis van Gaal, with the Dutchmanย having fallen out with Victor Valdes, the Spanish goalkeeper who is a good friend of the Barcelona forward.ย Van Gaalโs recent handling of David De Geaโs future is also a factor in Pedro taking stock of his options."
The Spaniard's exit from Barcelona had seemed assured, with the forward set for another season of providing cover from the bench, but if United fail to convince Pedro, he may opt for the safer path and remain at the Camp Nou.
United can ill afford to miss out on the 28-year-old as they seek to add creativity and potency in the wake of Angel Di Maria, Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao moving to pastures new this summer.

The Red Devils have won their opening two matches of the season by a single goal but have struggled to convince, with Wayne Rooney in particular failing to make an impact.
As sports journalist Jonas Giaever notes, the Spaniard would slot in well at Old Trafford:
Further, Pedro's signature would provide the team with a welcome boost in acquiring another marquee name.
Pedro's ability to create opportunities for his team-mates as well as reliably take chances created for him is just what United need to launch a title challenge this season.
As the end of the transfer window draws near, the Red Devils need to go all out to allay any fears the forward may have, or they risk another season of fighting only to finish in the top four.
David De Gea Agrees Terms with Real Madrid
According to Jose Felix Diazย of Marca,ย David De Geaย "has already agreed terms in the Spanish capital," despite United's own contract offer being "a lot more lucrative than the one on the table at the Bernabeu," equating to "โฌ14 million more over six years."
Such is the Spaniard's desire to return to his home town, it seems nothing United can do will convince De Gea to remain at Old Trafford.

Perย Daniel Taylorย of theย Guardian, the 24-year-old has told the club he does not wish to play, resulting in Van Gaal opting for Sergio Romero in goal for their first two fixtures.
Van Gaal said: "Frans Hoek [Unitedโs goalkeeping coach]โhe has a meeting with David De Gea and he asked him: 'Do you want to play?'"
According to the Dutchman, the 'keeper replied: "No."
De Gea's reluctance to play with the saga hanging over his head is understandable, as he runs the risk of error due to a lack of focus.
With United playing hardball over the stopper's fee and Real reticent to match their valuation, De Gea's saga is set to rumble on right to the end of the transfer window.
Should De Gea still be a United player when it draws to a close, he will need to remain professional and play with the same focus and ability he did last season as he sees out the final year of his contract at Old Trafford.
