If Garrett Rank wants to give up his regular job as an NHL referee, he might be very successful as a golfer.

Rank is now a four-time winner of the Canadian Men's Mid-Amateur Championship after making a six-foot par putt on the final hole on Friday.

Rank entered the final round two shots off the lead held by Evan Nachtigall. The two were tied at 18-under going into the final hole. Nachtigall found the bunker before getting to the green and settled for bogey, giving Rank the chance for a two-putt to win.

"As soon as I saw my ball was on the back of the green, I knew it was a good time for lag putt to try and two putt, and luckily enough I was able to make the 6-footer at the end to win," Rank said.

Rank joined of the NHL officiating staff in 2014 and worked his first NHL game on Jan. 15, 2015, between the Minnesota Wild and Buffalo Sabres. He made his Stanley Cup Final debut last season working Games 2, 4 and 6 between the Carolina Hurricanes and Florida Panthers.
