Angel Reese Makes WNBA History, Final Box Score Stats, Highlights as Dream Beat Brink, Sparks

Angel Reese's perfect shooting night helped the Atlanta Dream cruise to an easy 124-88 win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday night.

The Dream, who entered the night favored by 8.5 points at FanDuel Sportsbook, had no problem covering en route to earning their fourth win in the last five games.

Reese became the first player in WNBA history to have a game with at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals without missing a shot from the field.

Reese joined Nikola Jokiฤ‡ as the only players in NBA and WNBA history have that stat line. Jokiฤ‡ did it during the 2018-19 season when he had 35 points on 11-of-11 shooting, 11 rebounds, 11 assists and four steals for the Denver Nuggets in a win over the Phoenix Suns.

A segment of Reese's night included going on a personal 10-0 run against the Sparks defense in the second quarter. The Dream led by as many as 42 points at one point. Their 124 points tied the second-highest output by any team this season.

Per the Associated Press, Reese is the third player in WNBA history with a 20-point double-double without a missed field goal. She also set the Dream record for most field-goals without a miss in a game.

Reese also recorded her league-leading 25th double-double of the season in the process. Dallas Wings forward Jessica Shepard is the only other player with 20 double-doubles.

The win moved Atlanta (23-13) one-half game behind the Indiana Fever for the No. 4 seed and homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs with eight games remaining in the regular season.

Next up for Reese and the Dream is a matchup with the Phoenix Mercury on Saturday at Mortgage Matchup Center.
