Brandon Browner Injury: Updates on Saints CB's Leg and Return

Brandon Browner suffered a lower-leg injury in the New Orleans Saints' preseason opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Aug. 13 and walked off the field under his own power before heading to the locker room on a cart. He was declared active for the regular-season opener against the Arizona Cardinals.

Sharief Ishaq of WDSU-TV provided a look at the inadvertent hit from Saints linebacker Hau'oli Kikaha that took Browner down on Aug. 13:

Browner is expected to help turn around a defense that ranked 27th against the pass, according to Football Outsiders. Until the Saints improve on that side of the ball, the playoffs may be out of the question this year.
