Brock Lesnar-Oba Femi Backstage Moment Revealed by WWE Hall of Famer After SummerSlam Retirement

After their rivalry concluded with an epic Hell in a Cell match at this month's SummerSlam premium live event, Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi shared a special moment backstage.

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray revealed on Busted Open Radio that he happened to be in Lesnar's personal locker room speaking with him and Paul Heyman when Femi showed up.

"And why was Oba Femi coming to Brock Lesnar's locker room? To thank him," Ray said (h/t Derek Holloway of Ringside News).

Femi became the first wrestler ever to defeat Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match in the Night 1 main event of SummerSlam. Lesnar passed the torch to Femi by acknowledging his victory in the ring, and he later confirmed that he is retiring from in-ring competition.

Ray described the backstage moment between Femi and Lesnar as an old-school sign of respect from a rising young Superstar to a veteran. Ray added that Femi taking the initiative to seek out Lesnar after the biggest win of his career "made me so happy and warmed my heart."
