Jake Paul Says Punch That Broke His Jaw from Anthony Joshua Didn't Hurt in New Video with Ryan Clark

Even though Anthony Joshua hit a punch on Jake Paul that was strong enough to break his jaw and required multiple surgeries to fix, it apparently didn't cause any pain.

Appearing on The Pivot podcast with Ryan Clark (starts at 19:00 mark), Paul said the punch "didn't even hurt" and the pain from stubbing your toe "hurts way more than being hit by Anthony Joshua."

Paul and Joshua squared off in an eight-round bout on Dec. 19. The size difference between was stark, as Paul weighed in nearly 27 pounds lighter and five inches shorter than the former unified heavyweight champion.

The fight went about as well as the size difference would suggest. Joshua had a 48-16 advantage in punches landed, leading to a sixth-round knockout that resulted in a double broken jaw for Paul.

Paul announced on Feb. 20 he had a second surgery to repair all of the damage to his jaw from the fight. The loss marked his first defeat since February 2023 against Tommy Fury, snapping a streak of six consecutive victories.

In addition to continuing his boxing career despite the brutal knockout loss against Joshua, Paul is also planning to get into mixed martial arts with a fight at some point in 2027.

Paul's plan to compete in MMA comes after his promotion company, Most Valuable Promotions, announced a merger with Professional Fighters League.
