American League Wins 2026 MLB All-Star Game Behind Yankees' Cody Bellinger, Rare Shutout of NL Stars
After losing last year's All-Star Game in a swing-off, the American League cruised to a win in Philadelphia on Tuesday.
The AL downed the National League 4-0 thanks to a three-run first inning and a late homer.

New York Yankees star Cody Bellinger took home the All-Star Game MVP.
It was the first shutout in the All-Star Game in 13 years and the eighth ever, giving the American League its 48th overall win in the Midsummer Classic.
The AL squad loaded the bases in the first inning against Christopher Sanchez, and Bellinger singled to center field to drive in a pair of runs. Ben Rice then drove in Bobby Witt Jr. to take an early 3-0 lead.
There was a scary moment in the third inning when Junior Caminero had to exit after being hit by a pitch, but the Tampa Bay Rays star said that he isn't dealing with anything serious.
Both offenses then went quiet, but Citizens Bank Park came to life with a fireworks display accompanied by Ray Charles' "America the Beautiful" for a Sandlot-esque scene in Philadelphia.
After a pitcher's duel for several straight innings, Miguel Vargas hit a 433-foot homer to give the American League a 4-0 lead in the seventh.
The AL Team used 11 different pitchers on the night, but Dylan Cease was credited with the win after he struck out the side in the bottom of the first.
The National League collected just three hits on the night, with Juan Soto hitting one, Pete Crow-Armstrong picking up another and Otto Lopez getting the last one. Considering all the talent in the NL, it was a pretty disappointing showing from that side.
The National League was without Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani, but that doesn't quite explain the lack of offense.
