Baron Corbin Makes Surprise WWE Return, Invades Trick Williams vs. Carmelo Hayes on SmackDown

Baron Corbin made his shocking WWE return on the latest episode of SmackDown.

Corbin returned to interrupt the non-title match between Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams, attacking both men and causing the match to conclude early.

It marked Corbin's first WWE appearance in just under two years, as he exited the company in Nov. 2024.

While the 41-year-old went on a run in the independent scene, there were rumors surrounding a potential return prior to Friday's action.

On May 20, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Corbin had finished up obligations with some companies he was working with regularly and there was a belief that he was either signed by WWE or would be imminently.

Corbin's previous WWE run included memorable feuds with Roman Reigns, AJ Styles and Sami Zayn. He captured the United States Championship and the NXT Tag Team Championship while winning the 2019 King of the Ring tournament.

Now, Corbin is inserting himself into the ongoing conflict between Hayes and Williams.
