Logan Webb Deletes Twitter Account After Calling Out Reporter for Comments Following Giants' Loss
San Francisco Giants star pitcher Logan Webb deleted his account on X after calling out a reporter following the team's 10-0 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday.
KNBR's Jack Loder initially discussed Webb's performance during the defeat in a social media video.
"When someone is supposed to be your ace, you think that they're going to give you the best chance to win every week," Loder said (h/t Sean Keeley of Awful Announcing). "Logan Webb had an awesome June, he was bad in April, he missed most of May. I've said over the years that he's been a great Giant, like I've really appreciated his Giants tenure. But there's always been a little bit lacking."
Webb eventually responded to the post by writing, "You know what's sad is they allow people like you in the locker room" (via Keeley).
The right-hander later replied to multiple other comments on social media before he deactivated his account.
Webb struggled in Wednesday's defeat, giving up five hits and five earned runs in seven innings of work. He also recorded two strikeouts as well as two walks.
The Giants fell to 38-54 with the loss, sitting at No. 4 in the National League West standings. They've gone 20-30 over their past 50 games.
While Webb earned his third consecutive All-Star nod for his overall efforts this season, he's also dealt with some inconsistency.
The 29-year-old has five different starts in which he's given up at least four earned runs this year after amassing six starts with at least four earned runs allowed throughout the entire 2025 season.
Webb has also given up three home runs across 10 innings pitched throughout his past two appearances in 2026.
While he prepares for the upcoming All-Star festivities, he appears to be taking a break from social media as well.
