Robert Kraft Eyes Patriots Game in Scotland After Tartan Army Goes Viral During World Cup in Boston
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft wants his team to play a game in Scotland following the Tartan Army's presence in Boston during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to Nicole Yang of the Boston Globe.
Kraft spoke with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell regarding the potential international game, per Yang.
Scotland is making its first World Cup appearance in 28 years, which started with a pair of group stage matches in Boston. Both contests took place at Gillette Stadium, typically home to the Patriots.
Scotland's fans have gone viral for their large presence throughout Boston for the World Cup festivities.
The NFL has expanded its international slate in recent years, with nine games set to take place outside of the United States during the 2026 season. New England is in the mix, as the team will face the Detroit Lions in Germany on Nov. 15.
As the Patriots currently look to avenge their Super Bowl LX loss next season, a trip to Scotland could be on the horizon after 2026.
