Brittney Griner Makes WNBA History, Becomes All-Time Blocks Leader in Sun's Win vs. Sky

The Connecticut Sun center swatted four shots during her team's 92-63 victory over the Chicago Sky on Monday and passed Margo Dydek for the most blocks in WNBA history with 878:

Griner finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, four blocks and three assists behind 6-of-10 shooting from the field, but it was her place in the history books that made the most headlines and added another incredible accomplishment to her illustrious resume.

The No. 1 overall pick of the 2013 WNBA draft has led the league in blocks eight different times to go along with her two Defensive Player of the Year awards and seven All-Defensive selections. 

She is also a WNBA champion, two-time scoring champion, six-time All-WNBA selection and nine-time All-Star as one of the best players of her generation.

And now Griner secured her legacy as one of the best defensive players of all-time.
