Hurricanes Favored in NHL Stanley Cup Bracket Final 2027 Odds, Where Do Golden Knights Rank?

Andrew PetersJun 14, 2026

The Carolina Hurricanes are Stanley Cup champions for the first time in 20 years, and they're the favorites to win it again next year.

The Canes have +650 odds to repeat in 2026-27, while this year's runner-up, the Vegas Golden Knights, have +1400 odds, which rank seventh, per FanDuel Sportsbook.

  • Hurricanes (+650)
  • Avalanche (+700)
  • Lightning (+1000)
  • Oilers (+1100)
  • Wild (+1200)
  • Panthers (+1200)

While winning back-to-back Stanley Cups is no small feat, it's far from impossible. There have been three repeat champions in the last decade, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Carolina back on top in 2027.

Of course, the Canes will have the target on their back all of next season, and teams will be building up their rosters to try to take them down.

The Colorado Avalanche were the best team during the regular season, but crumbled in the conference finals against the Golden Knights, leaving questions ahead for them in the offseason.

But the Avs weren't fully healthy against Vegas, with Cale Makar missing the first two games and Nathan MacKinnon suffering an injury in Game 3. Assuming Colorado can stay healthy next postseason, it should be able to compete.

The Lightning had a disappointing playoff showing, but they too had some key injuries, namely defenseman Victor Hedman. Like the Avs, a fully healthy Tampa Bay team would give any group a run for their money next season.

The NHL offseason is sure to be an interesting one with star players like Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews potentially on the move, so the Stanley Cup odds on opening night could look much different than they do in June.
