Myles Garrett Wants to Learn from Aaron Donald After Trade as Rams Legend Mulls NFL Comeback
Myles Garrett revealed that he plans to reach out to former Los Angeles Rams star defensive tackle Aaron Donald after he was traded to the team from the Cleveland Browns on Monday.
"Haven't talked yet, but definitely expect to talk soon," Garrett said in a recent interview with the Rams' J.B. Long (11:03 mark). "I don't know what his plans are and I won't pretend to know. I know a lot of people are excited and thrilled about the idea of him coming back. But just being able to talk to him, learn from him, I'll take all the advice I can. He's a great one for a reason, so just trying to get him in here talking to the guys. Especially the defensive line, that can mean a lot."

Donald, who earned 10 Pro Bowl nods and three Defensive Player of the Year awards during his career, retired at the end of the 2023 season.
He previously revealed that he was contemplating ending his retirement after Los Angeles traded for Garrett.
The duo would immediately form one of the NFL's most imposing pass-rushing units, especially considering Garrett was named Defensive Player of the Year for his 2025 campaign.
In 17 appearances with the Browns, the 30-year-old set the league's new single-season record with 23 sacks. He also amassed 60 tackles, 39 quarterback hits, 33 tackles for loss and three forced fumbles.
Even if Donald ultimately decides to stay retired, Garrett potentially bringing him in as an advisor for himself and his teammates could help the Rams as they look to go on another deep play run.
