Rome Odunze 'Loved' Caleb Williams' Madden NFL 27 Cover and Michael Jordan Tribute
Wide receiver Rome Odunze was impressed to see his teammate Caleb Williams become the first Chicago Bears player on the cover of Madden NFL 27, according to The Athletic's Kevin Fishbain.
"I loved it," Odunze said, per Fishbain. "He had a spectacular season, and the cover was dope, his kind of little MJ tribute. I know the Chicagoans are happy to see that one. It was kind of a throwback. It was pretty cool."
Madden released a first peek at Wendesday at Williams' NFL 27 cover on Wednesday.

Williams said in a Wednesday appearance on Jason and Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast his pose had been inspired by Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.
"I was like, everybody knows the Air Jordan, the sunrise of him doing his Air Jordan with the skyline behind him," Williams said (h/t NFL.com). "I was like, I want to recreate it, football, bring it back 30 years later, however many years later."
Williams also did an "Iceman" pose on the cover of the Madden NFL 27 deluxe edition.
The Bears traded D.J. Moore to the Buffalo Bills this offseason, setting Odunze on track to serve as Williams' top target in their third NFL season together.
Odunze was limited throughout last season with a stress fracture in his foot. He said Wednesday he has had to adjust to a "new normal" with how his foot now functions, per The Athletic's Dan Wiederer.
The Bears will hope Odunze has time this offseason to get as close to 100 percent as possible before he steps into his role as the team's WR1 this fall.
