New NFL Rumors Reveal Eagles' Myles Garrett Trade Stance After Rams Deal amid Jalen Carter Buzz
The Cleveland Browns did not consider a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles before sending star defender Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams, Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot reported Wednesday.
The Eagles "never made a play" for Garrett, and there was "zero chance" the team would have included defensive tackle Jalen Carter in a potential deal, Cabot reported.

NBC Sports Philadelphia's Ryan Fowler previously reported the Eagles had a "more than exploratory" interest in Garrett.
Fowler reported there was "zero potential" the Eagles were considering centering a trade around Carter, and that the Rams' offer likely beat out a potential Eagles proposal of Nolan Smith or Jalyx Hunt alongside draft picks.
The Rams acquired Garrett from the Browns on Monday in exchange for a package including edge rusher Jared Verse, who Browns general manager Andrew Berry later referred to as one of the best players in the NFL.
The Browns also received a 2027 first-round pick alongside a 2028 second-rounder and 2029 third-rounder in the trade.
The Eagles activated Carter's fifth-year option in April to keep him under contract through 2027. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported shortly afterward the Eagles had "received trade calls on Carter."
Given that even potentially bringing in Garrett reportedly wasn't enough to get the Eagles to consider trading Carter, the franchise might consider signing him to a long-term extension now that he's eligible this summer.
