C.J. Gardner-Johnson Makes Cryptic Post on 'Beef' in Eagles' Locker Room After A.J. Brown Trade
Veteran NFL safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson, who had two stints with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022 and 2024, has chimed in with vague posting about the state of the team's locker room in the aftermath of the A.J. Brown trade.
In a post on X, Gardner-Johnson wrote about "all that beef" in the Eagles locker room.

Brown's four-year tenure in Philadelphia came to an end on Monday when the star receiver was traded to the New England Patriots. The Eagles received two draft picks in the deal, including a 2028 first-rounder.
Things between Brown and Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts appeared to deteriorate over the course of last season. Brown said there was no animosity, but they just grew apart over time.
Cryptic posting is nothing new as far as this situation goes. In fact, it could be argued this whole saga started with a cryptic post from Brown last October.
Gardner-Johnson wasn't present with the Eagles for everything that happened in 2025, as he split time with the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears last season. He also managed to avoid the last time there was chaos behind the scenes in Philadelphia for the collapse at the end of the 2023 season.
The two seasons Gardner-Johnson spent with the Eagles were two of the best in franchise history. They made the Super Bowl in 2022, then won the Super Bowl in 2024.
Unfortunately for the Eagles, Gardner-Johnson isn't available to help them get back on track because he signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills in free agency.
