A.J. Brown Makes Cryptic Post After Eagles Complete 0 Passes in 2nd Half vs. Bucs

Timothy RappSep 29, 2025

Philadelphia Eagles wideout A.J. Brown has not been a major factor in the team's passing games in three of the first four games to start the season, highlighted by his two receptions for seven yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It appears that Brown's patience with his role in the offense is wearing thin, at least based on a social media post he fired up after Sunday's win, sharing an image that read: "If you're not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw. Don't make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way."

Even former NFL wideout Chad Johnson took notice:

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer later reported the post was "pointed at someone or someones internally with the Eagles," citing two sources close to the receiver.

Brown also declined interview requests with reporters after the game.

Through four games, Brown has 12 receptions on 28 targets for 151 yards and a touchdown. He was targeted nine times on Sunday, though Jalen Hurts struggled to connect with his star wideout. The passing game was incredibly ineffective in the second half in general, failing to register a completion:

Brown is seemingly a bit fed up with the situation. The Eagles, however, have started the season 4-0. Getting their top wideout more involved should absolutely be a goal, though the Birds keep finding ways to win regardless.
