A.J. Brown Reflects on His Cryptic Social Media Posts in New Video After Eagles-Patriots Trade
New England Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown says he regrets his social media posts, but not in-person interactions with his teammates, from his time with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Brown reflected on his past social media activity shortly after his trade to the Patriots while speaking with Maria Taylor on 7PM in Brooklyn.
"Not every moment I can say I handled it the best way, especially the ones that was on social media," Brown said around the 7:10 mark of the interview . "That was just, that was wrong. Me taking accountability for that.

"But with my teammates, I felt like I handled things correctly. We had tough conversations. We had face-to-face conversations, and we talked, and we pushed each other. And we didn't really care who was uncomfortable."
Brown continued: "There's always that one guy in the locker room, who pushes guys and holds people accountable, and that was me. And I didn't mind being viewed as whatever picture was painted me out to be, because I know my teammates know I have my back."
The wide receiver regularly fielded questions about his social media usage during his last season with the Eagles, including an October post on X which stated "If you're not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw."
Brown later told reporters the post had not been directed toward anyone in the Eagles organization.
He deactivated his social media accounts Monday, just before he was dealt to the Patriots in exchange for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-rounder.
The Eagles took on $20 million in dead money in order to move on from Brown, who helped his team win Super Bowl LIX but publicly expressed discontent with the franchise during the following season.
The Patriots will now hope Brown finds a more harmonious fit in Foxborough as he looks to take on a WR1 role on a depth chart also featuring Romeo Doubs and Kayshon Boutte.
