Alvin Kamara's Agent Addresses RB's Status amid Saints Trade Rumors Ahead of NFL Season
Alvin Kamara's future with the New Orleans Saints is up in the air at best, but his agent believes he will remain with the only NFL team he has ever known for the upcoming campaign.
"We plan on playing for the Saints in 2026," Brad Cicala told Mike Garafolo of NFL Network:

Garafolo's update comes after ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Sunday on SportsCenter, "There hasn't been a lot of traction yet on the Saints' direction with Kamara, but there is some interest on potentially coming back there. Maybe they can do a revised deal."
There were questions about Kamara even before New Orleans signed running back Travis Etienne Jr. to a four-year deal this offseason, and now his spot in the lineup is even more unclear.
While Kamara has largely been excellent throughout his career with the Saints, he is coming off his worst individual season and will be 31 years old for the 2026 campaign. He was limited to 11 games in 2025 and finished with career-low marks in rushing yards (471), yards per rushing attempt (3.6), catches (33), receiving yards (186) and touchdowns (one).
He didn't look anything like the playmaker who has an Offensive Rookie of the Year, five Pro Bowl selections and more than 1,100 yards from scrimmage in eight different seasons on his resume.
The version of Kamara who led the NFL with 21 combined rushing and receiving yards in 2020 may be in the rearview mirror, which only adds more uncertainty to the situation.
So did comments from Saints general manager Mickey Loomis last month:
At this point, Kamara is still a member of the Saints.
His agent doesn't believe that will change in 2026, which means he could be sharing the backfield with Etienne if no trade or release eventually comes this summer.
