NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs 2026 Betting Odds and Box Score Advice for Bracket Final

The Vegas Golden Knights and Carolina Hurricanes both cruised into the 2026 Stanley Cup Final.

The assumption is that the championship series will be the toughest matchup of the playoffs for both the Eastern and Western Conference champions.

Both teams are unapologetic about the way they play and enforced their will on their opponents throughout the first three rounds.

Carolina will play at a pace that produces a ton of shots on goal. Carter Hart has to be at his best for Vegas to survive the potential offensive onslaught.

Vegas' approach is a bit more defensive-minded, but its star players have been hard to contain.

Mitch Marner, Jack Eichel and Pavel Dorofeyev all featured in huge roles in the Western Conference Finals and are expected to be key players to unlock victories in the Cup Final.

Mitch Marner's first postseason with the Golden Knights couldn't have gone any better.

Marner leads the NHL with 21 postseason points. He has seven goals and 14 assists. Eleven of those handouts were primary helpers.

If Marner maintains this level of play and Vegas wins, he's the unquestioned winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy.

However, Jack Eichel is second to Marner in playoff points with 18. He has a surprisingly low goal total of two, but if he explodes into a scoring spree, he could steal the Conn Smythe from Marner. At +1800, Eichel is worth a look because of his starring role inside the Vegas offense.

Carolina's line of Jackson Blake, Taylor Hall and Logan Stankoven has been incredible through three rounds.

Hall has 16 points, Blake has 15 points and Stankoven has 12. Carolina needs that line to keep thriving to win, while Vegas needs to slow it down to capture the cup.

Any of Carolina's other forwards are +6000 or higher to win the Conn Smythe. There's a chance Sebastian Aho, Seth Jarvis or Andrei Svechnikov goes off in the Cup Final and demands a spot in the Conn Smythe discussion.

It would take an incredible series with either a goal in every game, or a point or two in every contest for Carolina's top trio to catch what the Stankoven line has done for the entire postseason.

Even an average series from Hall, Blake or Stankoven could win any of them the Conn Smythe because of their overall playoff performances.

Game 1 Odds

Carolina is understandably a -152 money-line favorite at home for Tuesday's Game 1.

It's hard to gauge what type of game we're going to see right away because Carolina and Vegas played twice in October.

With Carolina at home, it's easy to think that the Hurricanes will pound shots on Carter Hart's net.

Stankoven, Svechnikov and Hall all rank in the top 20 in shots on goal this postseason.

If we assume that the Eichel line matches up with Svechnikov, Aho and Jarvis, the Carolina second line should have plenty of opportunities to shoot.

Stankoven sits at -114 to have 3+ shots on goal in 60 minutes on FanDuel. Blake and Hall both sits at plus-money odds to have the same amount of SOGs.

Hart's Over 26.5 saves is worth a look as well given how often Carolina puts pucks on net.

FanDuel offers props of Hart to make 6+ and 8+ saves in every period. Those are worth looks as well if we assume Carolina comes out on the front foot in Game 1 on home ice.
