French Open 2026 Results, Day 6 Bracket Winners, Losers, Highlights and Day 7 Roland-Garros Schedule
Novak Djokovic's quest for a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam title will have to wait until Wimbledon.
In his first match on Court Phillip-Chatrier, 19-year-old Brazilian wunderkind Joao Fonseca stunned the 39-year-old Serbian in a five-set thriller, handing him just his second career loss when leading by two sets.
In the process, Fonseca became the first teenager to defeat Djokovic in a Grand Slam.
Elsewhere, No. 24 seed Tommy Paul & Alex Michelsen—the two American men in action on Friday—both lost in five-set thrillers.
In the women's draw, Iga Swiatek and Elina Svitolina punched their tickets to the Round of 16 with straight-set wins.
Below, we have everything you need, from key takeaways to tomorrow's schedule.

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner may have a third rival for years to come.
19-year-old Joao Fonseca rallied from a two-set-to-love deficit to defeat Novak Djokovic in a five-set thriller.
The Brazilian sensation found himself down two sets in just over an hour and a half but remained unfazed in his Court Phillipe-Chatrier debut.
With 130 mph-like booming serves and his blistering forehand—touted as one of the best on tours—Fonseca clawed his way back into this match, handing Djokovic just his second career loss when leading by two sets at a Grand Slam.
After four hours and 53 minutes, Fonseca closed out the match with three consecutive aces, earning the most improbable victory of his career.
The victory was his second straight from down two sets to love.
Fonseca, the youngest player ever to beat Djokovic at a Grand Slam, ensured a first-time major champion at this year's French Open.
While Alexander Zverev may be the favorite, Fonseca and 19-year-old Rafael Jodar should not be underestimated.
Third-round action continues tomorrow on TNT, which will broadcast live from Roland-Garros starting at 5 a.m. ET. There will also be whip-around coverage on truTV at the same time, while all courts will stream live on HBO Max.

Match of the Day: Flavio Cobolli (10) vs. Learner Tien (18)
On Saturday, Flavio Cobolli and Learner Tien will face off in a third-round matchup that promises to excite.
While neither player may bring overwhelming power, the match has the makings of a five-set thriller, considering how gritty each player is.
Ultimately, it may come down to who's able to stay fresher as the match progresses.
While Cobolli may be the more talented clay player, Tien has shown time and time again that no moment is too big.
Prediction: No. 18 Learner Tien def. No. 10 Flavio Cobolli in 5 sets

Match of the Day: Victoria Mboko (9) vs. Madison Keys (19)
On Saturday, Victoria Mboko and Madison Keys will meet in a battle of all-out baseline aggression.
Keys struggled in the lead-up to the French Open but has been dominant this far.
Mboko has also struggled and, like Keys, has found her best clay tennis this week.
Considering that little separates the two players at the moments, this has the makings of a three-set thriller, with the winner decided by who can better handle the long rallies.
I'll give the edge to Keys, whose experience might just help her persevere.
Predction: No. 19 Madison Keys def. No. 9 Victoria Mboko in 3 sets
